Roy Douglas Adkins, 79, of Lynchburg, died Tuesday, June 4, 2024.

Born in Lynchburg, August 4, 1944, he was a son of the late Geneva Thomas Adkins and Curnel Adkins.  Roy was a graduate of Rustburg High School.  He served his country in the United States Army.

He is survived by two sisters, Irma Pugh of Virginia Beach and Carolyn Nelson of Concord; one brother, Gerald Adkins and wife Ginger of Rustburg; numerous nieces and nephews; and his beloved grand-dog "Bella".

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Rhonda Dee Adkins and her mother, Margaret Layne Adkins; sister, Nelda Cheree Stevens; and two brothers, Julian Wade and Raymond Wade.

In accordance with Roy's wishes there will be no services held.
