Obituary

Rose Marie Pankey Berry, 55, of Appomattox, Virginia, went to be with her Heavenly Father on November 10, 2009.
She was born March 27, 1954 in Appomattox, Virginia, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roosevelt Pankey. She was the oldest of 10 siblings.
She graduated from Appomattox County High School in 1972 and on November 5, 1973 she married Kevin Roy Berry.
She was a diligent worker who was lastly employed by CB Fleet, Inc. located in Lynchburg, Virginia.
Mrs. Berry was a faithful member of the Open Door Christian Church in Appomattox, Virginia. At Open Door, she served as Deaconess, Treasurer, Choir member, on the Hospitality Committee, and wherever else she could do work for the Lord.
She is survived by her parents Roosevelt and Elizabeth Wright Pankey of Appomattox, Virginia; husband, Kevin Berry of Appomattox ; two daughters and sons-in-law; Melissa and Tyrone Morgan of Appomattox, Tennille and Christopher Callands of Lynchburg ; grandchildren, Shawnice and Tevin Morgan of Appomattox; sister, Barbara Ferguson, brother and sister-in-law, Roosevelt (Jr.) and Sally Pankey; sister and brother-in-law, Shelby and Warren Patterson all of Appomattox; sister and brother-in-law, Margaret and Michael Callands of Glen Burnie, MD; sister and brother-in-law, Sandra and Eddie Pennix of Appomattox; sister and brother-in-law, Velma and Adolphus Mosley of Appomattox; sister and brother-in-law, Jackie and Cecil Booker of Roanoke, brother and sister-in-law, David and Michelle Pankey of Nelson, VA; sister and brother-in-law, Janice and Henry Fleshman and brother and sister-in-law, Ronnie and Gina Pankey all of Appomattox and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
A beautiful person inside and out, she has truly touched many lives with her strong faith, strength and spirit. She will truly be missed by all.
A funeral service will be held at Springfield Baptist Church on Saturday, 2:00 PM, November 14, 2009 with The Rev. Harrison Kelso officiating and the Rev. Dr. Willie Green as eulogist. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Robinson Funeral Home Friday night November 13, 2009 from 7-8:30 P.M. and other times at the residence on Watt Abbitt Road.
