Obituary

Rosa Crews Mann Logan, 91, of Morning Star Rd., Appomattox and formerly of Smithfield, died Tuesday, October 27, 2009 in the Appomattox Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was the wife of the late James Logan.
Born in Buckingham County, May 15, 1918, she was a daughter of the late Albert and Nellie Bragg Crews. She was a member of Central Hill Baptist Church in Windsor and retired from Verizon Telephone.
She is survived by two daughters, Lois M. Notestein and Jean M. Cumbie and her husband, Payton all of Appomattox; two sons, Herman Ray Mann and his wife, Edith of Rustburg and Tony Edward Mann and his wife, Peggy of Appomattox; three step-daughters, Sue L. Allen, Dianne L. Jackson, and Kathy L. Mattox; a sisters-in-law, Doris Joyner of Windsor; a brother-in-law, Ollie Logan and his wife, Dot of Ivor; 14 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Frances M. Witt.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 am, Thursday, October 29, 2009 at Robinson Funeral Home by the Rev. Tom Barker. Graveside funeral service will follow at 2:30 pm, in Moore's Swamp Baptist Church Cemetery, Surry Co., by the Rev. Roger Johnson.
In lieu of flowers the family request that memorials be made to the Pamplin Fire and EMS, PO Box 1099, Pamplin, VA 23958.
