Ronnie Gene Jenkins, 68, of Red House, Virginia, passed away peacefully at his home on June 5, 2025, surrounded by his loving wife and children.
Born on September 8, 1956, in Plymouth, North Carolina, Ronnie was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He is survived by his beloved wife, Alice Williams Jenkins, with whom he shared a lifetime of love and partnership.
Ronnie was a proud and loving father to five children and nine grandchildren: Joanne Jones (Bruce) and their children Bruce, Savannah, Colton, and Blake. Ronnie Jenkins II (Amber) and their son Connor. James Jenkins (Britney) and their children Avery and Emerson. Teresa Broyhill (CR) and their children Kat and Rose.
He is also survived by his siblings Ethel Wall (Fred), Kay Lyles (Larry), Janice Dunlow, Sandra Pavey, Wayne Jenkins (Sharon). Ronnie is also lovingly remembered by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends who were dear to his heart.
He was preceded in death by his son, David Austin Williams; his parents, Elisha and Ethel Jenkins; and his siblings: Tony Jenkins, Roger Jenkins and his wife Terry, and Mary Page and her husband Ricky.
Ronnie loved the Lord and lived his life with faith and purpose. He worked hard to provide for his family and took great pride in being a dependable and loving presence in their lives. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing and found his greatest joy in spending time with his grandchildren, who brought endless happiness to his days.
He will be remembered for his warm heart, his sense of humor, and the way he made everyone feel welcome. His presence was a steady comfort, and his legacy will live on in the lives of those who knew and loved him.
A service to celebrate Ronnie's life will be held at Miller Funeral Chapel in North Wilkesboro, North Carolina, on Thursday, June 12, 2025, at 2:00pm. Visitation with the family will be held from 1:00 pm -2:00 pm prior to the service at Miller Funeral Chapel. Graveside Burial will follow at Lewis Fork Baptist Church in Purlear, North Carolina.
