Rondla (Ronnie) Lee Adams, 64, of Church St. Appomattox, departed this life on October 22, 2008, at Lynchburg General Hospital.
Born in Jonesboro, Tenn., he was a son of the late Frank Daniel and Carrie Harrison Adams. Ronnie was a faithful employee of J. E. Jamerson and Sons for over 30 years.
He is survived by two daughters, Lisa Gail Lillie and husband, Allen and Peggy S. Vaughn all of Lynchburg; a sister, Bertie A. Cunningham of Amherst and family; a brother, Frank D. Adams, Jr. of Johnson City, Tenn. and family; a long time devoted fiancée, Shirley Ferguson of Appomattox and her family, Randall S. Ferguson and wife, Lisa and Monte R. Ferguson and wife, Dyani; his grandchildren, Haley E. Lillie, Shenandoa K. Lillie, Cheyenne R. Lillie, Ryan Vaughn, John Vaughn, Jr., Curtis R. Ferguson, III, Madison G. Gillispie, Joseph S. Gillispie, and Wyatt L. M. Ferguson and his ex-wife, Myrtle L. Adams of Madison Heights.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, James Chandler and Kenneth Adams.
Funeral services will be held 7:00 pm, today (Friday) at Robinson Funeral Home by the Rev. Dr. Beverly G. Cunningham. The family will receive friends following the service and other times at the home of Shirley Ferguson, Church St. Appomattox.
Graveside funeral services will be in held in Johnson City, Tenn.
