Obituary
Roger Dale Steele, 51, of Bethany Rd., Rustburg, died peacefully at his residence on Tuesday, January 21, 2014. Born in Lynchburg, VA, on February 10, 1962, he was the son of Elaine Wills Steele of Rustburg and the late Rudolph Lee Steele, Sr. He attended Mt. Vernon Baptist Church.
In addition to his mother he is survived by two brothers, Rudolph (Scooter) L. Steele, Jr. of Concord and Randy (Red) Steele of Rustburg; a niece, Jessie Hollon and husband, Anthony and a nephew, Christopher Hargis, all of Lynchburg; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins, including a special cousin, Michael Steele.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 24, 2014, in Jubilee Baptist Church (formerly Mt. Vernon Baptist Church) by the Rev. Paul Mason and the Rev. Roger Childress. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the residence of his mother.
