Roger Dale Eagle, Sr., 71 of Appomattox passed away on Wednesday, November 13, 2024, at Lynchburg General Hospital. He was the husband of Wanda Loving Eagle.

Born on July 19, 1953, in Lynchburg, he was the son of the late Julian Braxton Eagle and Peggy Sales Eagle. He was a member of Liberty Baptist Church.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two children, Roger Dale Eagle, Jr. Rhonda Hodges of Appomattox, and Peggy Eagle and husband, Steve Hodge of Concord; three grandchildren, Steven Hodge, Hunter Hodge, and Braxton Eagle; two sisters, Delores Flood and husband, John of Dillwyn, Sandra Allen and husband, Clark of Appomattox; brothers-in-law, Wayne Price, Kenneth "Buck" Loving, and Glen Edward Loving; and sister-in-law, Judy Matthews and husband, David.

He was preceded in death by a sister Norma Jean Price.
