Roger William Clark, 73, of Salem Road, Spout Spring, passed away Friday, August 19, 2016, at his residence after a short battle with cancer. He was the beloved husband of Connie Scott Clark.

Born in Amherst County, Va., on September 15, 1942, he was a son of the late George Thomas Clark and LeeAnna Mason Massie. He attended Reedy Spring Baptist Church, served in the US Army, and retired from Limitorque.

In addition to his wife, Connie, he is survived by four daughters, Teresa Beatrix Davis and husband, David, Sherri Renea Clark all of Spout Spring, Michelle Lee Goff of Concord and Casey Marie Clark of Spout Spring; five grandchildren, Shelby Thomas, Makayla Davis, Jeremy Thomas, Kendall Davis, and William Thomas; a brother, Jerry Clark and wife, Madeline of Lynchburg; a sister Sandra Clark of Rustburg; an aunt, Lena Burch of Appomattox; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Eddie Clark.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, August 22, 2016, at Reedy Spring Baptist Church, 1315 Reedy Spring Rd., Spout Spring, by the Rev. Dan Davis with burial following in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the church on Sunday, August 21, 2016, from 5 – 7 p.m. and other times at the residence.
