ROBERT C, WINSTON, JR.
Appomattox – Robert Carter "Bobby" Winston, Jr., 56, of Spring Grove Road, died unexpectedly at his residence, Thursday May 25, 2006.
Bobby was born in Lynchburg on March 17, 1950 a son of the late Robert C. Winston, Sr. and Waverly Hubbard Winston. He was a member of the Army Reserves, a truck driver for Top Gun Trucking, and was an avid hunter, fisherman, farmer and loved his black labs.
He is survived by three sisters, Beverly Winston Phelps and her husband, Elmer of Appomattox; Nancy Winston Bryant and her husband, Reuben of Concord; Carolyn Winston Pugh and her husband, Joel of Appomattox; nieces and nephews, Dawn Doss and her husband, Derek;, Angela Wolfe and her husband, Lee; Amanda Owens and her husband, Greg, Carrie Lucado, David Lucado, & Ruth Bryant; great nieces and nephews, Kirsten Doss, Grey Wolfe, Addison Wolfe, and Morgan Doss.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, William David Winston.
A funeral service will be conducted 2:00 PM at Robinson Funeral Home, Sunday May 28, 2006 by the Rev. Mitch Luckie.
Burial will take place at Whites United Methodist Church Cemetery at 3:30 P.M.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7-8:30 P.M. today (Saturday) and at other times at the home of Beverly and Elmer Phelps, 2615 Spring Grove Road.
