Obituary
Robert Maurice Schloss, Sr., 86, of Tower Hill Rd., Appomattox, died Monday, April 22, 2013, at his residence. Born in Savannah, GA on September 27, 1926, he was a son of the late Helen Mae Smith and Maurice Schloss.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Mary Margaret Webb Schloss; a son, Robert M. Schloss, Jr. and wife, Sandra of Bedford; two daughters, Deborah Hansen and her husband, Frank of Appomattox and Mary Jane Saunders and her husband, Tosh of Live Oak, FL; seven grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
Robert was a US Army veteran serving in World War II and a 1950 graduate of the University of Georgia. He resided most of his life in Florida before moving to Virginia in 2009.
A memorial service will be held 2:00 pm, Saturday, April 27, 2013, in Rustburg Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 1291 Bear Creek Rd., Rustburg.
