Robert Edward Riggleman, 62, of Robinson Road, Appomattox, died on Saturday afternoon April 14, 2012 while fishing in the James River near Stapleton.
Robert was born in Neptune, NJ, December 1, 1949 a son of the late Helen Riggleman. He was a retired truck driver for LTK, Inc., Greensboro, NC. Robert served his country in the Marine Corp during the Vietnam War.
He is survived by his sister and her husband, Sue and Jim Bolte of Lynchburg; Aunts, Linda Louk, of Appomattox and Myrtle Coger of Florida; Uncle, Charles Riggleman, and his wife Judy of Appomattox; Nephews, Matthew, Anthony, and James; and Niece, Brianna, numerous cousins, friends and extended family.
He was preceded in death by a sister Luann.
A funeral service will be held at 6:00 P.M., Wednesday, April 18, 2012 at Robinson Funeral Home officiated by Pastor David O'Brien. A visitation with family and friends will begin at 4:00 PM Wednesday until time of service.
The family will receive friends other times at the home of his aunt, Linda Louk, 260 Sunnydale Avenue, Appomattox.
