Robert Roach (Bobby) Nash 78 of Pamplin died Wednesday December 7, 2011 at his residence.
He was the husband of Eleanor Lamberth Nash for 52 years.
Bobby was born in Charlotte Co., December 15, 1932 a son of the late Harry Jones and Cassie Roach Nash. He was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church and a retired employee of B & W. Bobby was kind hearted, hardworking, and never turned away anyone in need. He loved his church, his family and gardening.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Ray Nash and his wife Lynn of Pamplin, his daughter, Lisa Ensley and her husband, Bobby of Appomattox; his brother, Leslie E. (Ned) Nash and his wife, Merle of Appomattox and their children, Tamara, Terri and Dean; grandchildren, Curtis Ray Nash and wife Ashley, Cassie Ann Nash, Logan Ensley, Ryan Christopher Yeatts, Barry Wayne Vanderveer, and Beverly "Flicto" McCormick; special caregiver, Jeanie Carwile, Hospice Nurse, Kim Butler and special friends, Ann Phillips and her late husband, David; Clarence Franklin, Norman and Nancy Vanderveer and their pet "Roscoe"; Tim Seamster, Frannie Jones and Sheila Smith. Bobby was preceded in death by an infant brother and sister.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Saturday December 10, 2011 at Centenary United Methodist Church by Pastor Herndon Jeffreys and the Rev. Ron Moore. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Robinson Funeral Home from 7-8:30 PM Friday night December 9, 2011 and at other times at the residence.
