Robert John Fahrer's Obituary
Robert John Fahrer, 91, of Purdum Mill Rd., died Thursday, November 3, 2011, in Virginia Baptist Hospital. He was the husband of Mary Eileen Wicks Fahrer.
Born in Astoria, Long Island, New York, on March 31, 1920, he was a son of the late Robert W. and Hannah Belle Cook Fahrer. Robert was a World War II Army Veteran, a retired parts manager for Westinghouse, and a member of Our Lady of Peace Roman Catholic Church.
A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m., Monday, November 7, 2011, at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church by Father Jim Gallagher. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Our Lady of Peace Building Fund, PO Box 668, Appomattox, VA 24522.
