Robert Lewis Dalton, 88, of Spout Spring, passed away on Wednesday, October 4, 2023, after putting up a courageous battle. He was the loving husband of Delores Cyrus "Jean" Dalton for 69 years.
Born in Lynchburg, Va., on May 29, 1935, he was a son of the late Virginia Dolly Mitchell Dalton and Willard Moran Dalton. He was a retired machinist with G. E. Ericsson. Bob was a member of Marshall Masonic Lodge #39 A. F. & A. M. and was a mason for over 60 years. He was lead singer and guitarist with several bands over the years. Bob was an avid outdoorsman and loved fishing and gardening. He also enjoyed turkey, racoon, deer, and squirrel hunting. Bob was a man of many talents.
He loved his family dearly and was an unbelievably great husband, father and grandfather. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Sandra "Sandy" Bradley and Tina Marie Dalton both of Spout Spring; one grandson, Jason Daniel Richardson and wife, Breanna; and two great-grandchildren, Riley and Olivia all of Palmyra.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Hamilton "Wayne" Bradley and a sister, Phyllis Jean D. Hawkins.
A funeral service will be held 2 pm, Saturday, October 7, 2023, at Robinson Funeral Home with Pastor Jeff Worley and Pastor Desi Justice officiating. Burial will follow at Reedy Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Robinson Funeral Home and at other times at the home of his daughter, Tina, 2931 Hummingbird Lane, Spout Spring.
