Robert "Bobby" Clifford O'Brien, 83, of Morningside Drive, Appomattox, died Tuesday, December 4, 2018. He was the husband of the late Etta Beale O'Brien.

Born in Appomattox County, Va., on October 3, 1935, he was the son of the late Jennings L. O'Brien and the late Grace Wooten Cunningham. He retired as a store manager for J. E. Sears. Bobby loved building model airplanes and enjoyed sitting at the mall on weekends with his friends.

He is survived by his son, Jeffrey Robert O'Brien of Forest and his fiancée, Teresa Hudson; two grandchildren, Ashley Coleman and husband, Ryan and Blake O'Brien; and two great-grandchildren, Kenleigh Coleman and Trafton Coleman.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Sandra O. Mitchell.

A graveside funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, December 6, 2018, at Liberty Cemetery.
