Obituary

Rustburg: Reva Cyrus Rosser, 88, of 6190 Bethany Rd., was called home Sunday, February 18, 2007 in Lynchburg General Hospital. She was the wife of Aubrey Jack Rosser.
Born in Campbell County, February 8, 1919, she was a daughter of the late Martha and Mumford C. Cyrus. Mrs. Rosser was a devoted and loving wife, mother, and grandmother and a member of New Chapel Baptist Church.
In addition to her husband she is survived by a son, Thornton Rosser and wife, Barbara; a daughter, Shirley R. Passink and husband, Paul all of Concord; a daughter-in-law, JoAnn Rosser of Rustburg; a brother, Lyle O. Cyrus of California; a sister, Alice Mae Steppe of Lynchburg; eight grandchildren, Thornton Rosser Jr. and wife, Viola, Tony Rosser and wife, Vicki, Trina Reese and husband, Mike, Holly Rosser, Jeff Rosser and wife, Wanda, Sandra Burks and husband, Danny, Marsha Pritchett and husband, D. W. and Bert Ferguson; 14 great grandchildren, Cammie and Dallas Burks, Melanie Growell, Whitney and Courtney Rosser, Adam and Aaron Bauer, Jeffrey Rosser II, David, Matthew, and Cody Rosser, Heather and Zack Ferguson, and Dalton Reese; two great-great grandchildren, John Wyatt Tweedy and Jayden Rosser.
The family wishes to thank her caregivers, Edna Hancock and Wendy Driscoll for their love and devotion. A special thank you to Rudy and Elaine Steele, Wally and Hazel Steele, Pete and Margaret Steele, Bro and Brenda Steele, and Sally and Gerald Booth for making it possible for Reva and Jack to remain in their home.
Reva was preceded in death by two children, Aubrey Rosser and Jane Marie Rosser and siblings, William Cyrus, Viola Tomlinson, Lloyd Cyrus, Gary Cyrus, Myrtle Campbell, Hilda Hunter, and Mildred Watson.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm, Wednesday, February 21, 2007 in New Chapel Baptist Church by the Rev. Terry Clark and the Rev. Sam Cardwell. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Robinson Funeral Home today from 7-8:30 pm and other times at the residence.
