Rachel Bomar Richardson, 78, of Pamplin, died Monday, March 10, 2014 at Heritage Hall, Brookneal. She was the wife of the late Thomas Wilson Richardson.
Born in Halifax, VA., June 1, 1935. She was a daughter of Myrtis Fallen Bomar and the late Claude Bomar. She was a member of Piney Ridge United Methodist Church and a retired hairdresser.
She is survived by two sons, Edward Holt and wife, Kathryn of Chesterfield and Jeffery Richardson and friend April Enoch of Appomattox; three daughters, Bonnie Jennings and husband, Carl of Brookneal, Zelda Pryor and husband, Phillip of Monticello, AR., and Theresa Baldwin and husband, Gene of Pamplin; one brother, Michael Bomar and wife, Linda of Rustburg; two sisters, Myrtis Moon of Rustburg and Hazel Hammock of Brookneal; 7 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Raymond Bomar and Claude Bomar Jr.; a sister, Frances Bomar and two great-grandchildren.
A Funeral Service will be held 11:00 a.m., Friday, March 14, 2014 at Piney Ridge United Methodist Church by the Rev. Herndon Jeffreys with burial to follow in Piney Ridge United Methodist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 7:00-8:30 p.m., Thursday, March 13, 2014 at Robinson Funeral Home and others times at the residence of Theresa and Gene Baldwin.
