R. Wayne Mann
Randolph Wayne Mann, 68, of Wagon Wheel Rd., Appomattox, died Sunday, December 15, 2013, at his residence. He was the husband of Iris Christian Mann.
Born in Appomattox County, January 20, 1945, he was a son of the late Ola Johnson and Russell McKinley Mann. He was a US Army veteran serving in Vietnam and retired with over 40 years of service with B & W.
In addition to his wife, Iris, he is survived by three children, Tina M. Nichols and husband, Matt of Spout Spring, Lisa M. Ellis of Appomattox, and Robert Mann of Pamplin; six grandchildren and one great granddaughter, Crystal Page whom was a God send to her family in caring for her PaPa, Kimberly Page, Joshua Ellis, Justin and Courtney Ellis and their daughter, Kylie, Zach Mann and Jonathan Nichols; one brother, Carlton Mann of Lynchburg; nieces, Linda Horton and Brenda Gibbs; nephews, Roger and Wayne Chandler; and good friends, Gene and Frankie Chernault.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Jean M. Chandler.
A celebration of life service will be held 6-8:00 p.m., on Friday, December 20, 2013, at the residence. The family will receive friends at other times at the residence.
