Priscilla Dawn Ellis Parsons, 70, of Tony Drive, Concord, died Sunday, February 24, 2013 at her residence after a long illness. She was the loving wife of Thomas J. (Jim) Parsons, Jr. for over 52 years.
Born in Roanoke, VA, on August 15, 1942, she was a daughter of William Clyde Ellis Sr. of Concord and the late Mildred Lorraine Spicer Ellis.
In addition to her husband and father she is survived by a daughter, Sharon P. Austin of Lynchburg; two sons, Robert W. (Bobby) Parsons and wife, Lisa of Lynchburg and William T. Parsons and wife, Paula of Concord; a brother, William Clyde (Chuck) Ellis, Jr. of Lynchburg; two sisters, Sandra E. Deal and husband, Carl of Maiden, NC and Jane E. Cochran and husband, T. C. of Lynchburg; sister-In-law, Dorothy Ann Parsons of Calabash, NC; eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, James Albert Parsons and a sister, Rita Susan Ellis.
A graveside funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 27, 2013, at Liberty Cemetery by the Rev. Glynn Coleman. The family will receive friends at Robinson Funeral Home Wednesday from 1:00 - 1:45 p.m. prior to the service.
