Polly Ann Warren Boaz, 83, of Annie Street, Appomattox, died Thursday March 20, 2014, in Appomattox Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was the wife of Holland Boaz for sixty-two years.

Born in Webster County, KY, January 24, 1931, she was a daughter of the late Carl and Zola Burden Warren. Polly was a member of Ontario Christian Church, Ontario, VA, and was a retired from the Town of Petersburg as a Public Librarian. Polly received her BA from Western Kentucky University, double majoring in English and Music. She then received her Masters of Library Science from George Peabody College in Nashville, TN. Polly spent many years teaching English and French in high school, then she moved to library work, where she served Elementary, Secondary, and College, then as Director of a Public Library.

In addition to her husband she is survived by a son, Richard Earl Boaz, and his wife Lisa Summers Boaz, of Irmo, S.C.; a daughter, Zona Dean Major, of Farmville; a brother, Ronald Rex Warren, of Sebree, KY; seven grandchildren, Joshua Kennedy, Tina Major, Bradley Boaz, Warren Boaz, Tamsen Boaz, Kristen Boaz, and Dixon Boaz; and a daughter-in-law, Peggy Bradley Boaz. She was preceded in death by a son, Gene Boaz, and two brothers and three sisters.

Funeral service will be held 3:00 P.M. Monday March 24, 2014 at Robinson Funeral Home in Appomattox, VA The family will receive friends on Monday at the funeral home from 1:30 P.M. until the time of service.

Burial will take place at a later date in Boaz's Chapel Cemetery in Fulton, KY.
