Phyllis Harvey Richardson, 83, of Wood Row Road, Pamplin, passed away on Tuesday, January 12, 2016 at Appomattox Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was the loving wife of Lloyd Edward Richardson for 59 years.
Born in Lynchburg, Va., on November 9, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Gladys Jennings and Zebulon Vance Harvey. She was an active member of Rocks Baptist Church where she served in many capacities over the years.
In addition to her husband she is survived by her two sons, Ronnie Richardson and wife, Debbie of Farmville, Va. and Mike Richardson of Wilson, N.C.; four grandchildren, Brandon Richardson and his close friend, Alexandra, Brittany R. Webb and husband, John, Madeline Richardson, and Ryan Richardson; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m., Friday, January 15, 2016, at Rocks Baptist Church by the Rev. Rick Painter and the Rev. Ron Moore. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service and at other times at the residence.
