Phillip Harris Honig, 67, of Chesapeake died Wednesday, January 31, 2007.
Born in Lynchburg, January 6, 1940, he was a son of the late Willard Harris Honig and Edna Burks Honig. He retired from the Army National Guard, Lynchburg Unit after 21 years service.
He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Frances Booker Honig; five sisters, Joyce Ewers of Williamsburg, Gail Parrish of Lynchburg, Sylvia Silby, Barbara Womack and husband, Danny all of Rustburg, and Linda Honig-Smith and husband, O. T. of Forest and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm, Saturday, February 3, 2007 at Robinson Funeral Home by the Rev. Gene Beverly. Burial will follow in Hebron Baptist Church Cemetery with Military rites accorded by American Legion Honor Guard #104.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:30 pm, Saturday until time of the service.
