PHILIP J. ROGERS was born on July 13, 1948 in Essex County, New Jersey. He crossed over on October 13, 2019, in Concord, Virginia, at home with loving family, after a valiant battle with cancer.
Phil is survived by his wife, Denise, step-children: Michael Ryan Gibbs (Wendy) and Amanda Kaye Gibbs; his sister, Mary Ann Rogers; along with many, many loving grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family members and friends.
Phil was predeceased by his parents, Bernard J. Rogers, Sr. and Frances O'Donnell Rogers; his brother, Bernard J. Rogers, Jr.; and his sister, Ellen Rogers McLaughlin.
Phil was a Vietnam Veteran and a proud American patriot. He was an exceptionally talented and gifted man who could do just about anything with his hands and always enhanced every task he chose to tackle. He touched more lives than he ever knew and will always be remembered as a strong, loving, quiet and independent man. He will be sorely missed by all that knew and loved him.
A private Memorial Service will be held for family and friends.
