Peggy Mann Crump, 87, of Appomattox, passed away on Tuesday, November 8, 2022, at her residence. She was the wife of Irvin Wendell Crump.

Born in Charlotte County on March 5, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Walter Scott Mann and Bessie Deaner Mann. She was a member of Elon Baptist Church. Peggy was a retired secretary for Overnite Transportation Company Inc.

In addition to her husband, Peggy is survived by three daughters, Debi Scott and husband, Curtis of Powhatan, Darlene McCaffrey and husband, Kevin of Richmond, and Cindy Williamson of Appomattox; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Peggy was preceded in death by six brothers, Thomas, Jacob, George, Morton, James, and John Mann; and four sisters, Mattie Taylor, Maxine Harper, Odelle Ranson, and Barbara Mann.

A memorial service will be held at 11 am, Friday, November 11, 2022, at Elon Baptist Church with Pastors David Sexton, Dennis Smith and Steve Tyree officiating.

The family will receive friends in the church following the service.
