Peggy Ann Williamson Clark

Peggy Ann Williamson Clark, formerly of Appomattox, Virginia, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 3rd at Brethren Care Village in Ashland, Ohio with her family by her side. She was the beloved wife of the late James L. "Pete" Clark, with whom she shared a lifetime of love, devotion, and family.

Peggy was born on October 27, 1941, in Appomattox, Virginia. She was the daughter of the late Ruby Williamson Stanley and was lovingly raised by her cherished Mama and Papa, Goldie Wooten and Henry H. "Harry" Williamson.

Peggy carried deep gratitude and affection for the family who shaped her life and values. She was a faithful member of Liberty Baptist Church in Appomattox and later attended Grace Brethren Church in Ashland, Ohio, until declining health limited her ability to participate.

Throughout her life, Peggy was known for her strong work ethic and caring spirit. She began her career at Appomattox Garment Company and later worked at Sylvia's Beauty Shop and Falling River Country Club. Her calling to care for others ultimately led her to Virginia Baptist Hospital/Centra Health, where she served as a Health Unit Coordinator. Peggy retired from the Mother Baby Unit in 2005, leaving behind a legacy of compassion, dedication, and kindness to countless families.

Peggy's heart for service extended far beyond her professional life. She was deeply involved in her churches and devoted herself wholeheartedly to caring for family members, including her mama Goldie, her mother-in-law Odell Clark, and her uncle William Richard "Dick" Williamson. She shared a treasured and enduring bond with her sister Dorothy "Dot" Bass and Dot's husband, Dick. In her later years, Peggy found simple joy in thrifting, delighted in discovering hidden treasures and small pleasures that reflected her gentle appreciation for life.

Peggy will be remembered lovingly by her daughters, Jeanette Moore of Concord, Virginia; Lisa Clark of Ashland, Ohio; and Cindy Petry and her husband Rod of Ashland, Ohio. She was a proud and devoted Grandmother and Mamaw to Ricky Osborne (Hannah) of Lexington, Ohio, Kelsey Moore and Nate Hunter of Appomattox, Virginia, and Andie Stotts (Jack) of Wooster, Ohio. Mamaw eagerly anticipated the arrival of great grand baby Stotts in September.

She is also survived by her sisters, Linda Shupe and her husband Bobby, Yvonne White, and her brother, Willard "Billy" Batien as well as many extended family members.

In addition to her husband, Peggy was preceded in death by her "adopted" siblings Alfred, Andrew, Jamie, Dick, and Curtis Williamson; Eva McCormick; Clara Stanley; Dorothy Bass; and her son-in-law, Timmy Moore.

A Celebration of Life will be held in the early fall season at Robinson Funeral Home in Appomattox, Virginia. Family and friends will be received following the service.

A private graveside service will be held for her children.

Peggy's life was defined by love, faith, selflessness, and quiet strength. She will be deeply

missed and forever held in the hearts of those who knew her.
