PAULINE KRESS GUNTER

Appomattox- At dusk, April 21, 2006, Lucy Pauline Kress Gunter was carried by angels to her eternal home. She leaves behind her husband of 53 years, Paul Mitchell (Mick) Gunter.
Pauline was born Smyth Co., VA, June 4, 1937 a daughter of the late Amos Lee Kress and Melvina Rebecca Clementine Cassell Kress. She was homemaker and a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by 3 daughters, Brenda Smith and her husband, Paul of New Canton; Donna Branham and her husband, Albert of Rustburg; Kimberly Scruggs and her husband, Ronnie of Dillwyn; 11 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Hazel Johnson and her husband, J.P. of Appomattox and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a son, Paul M. Gunter, Jr. and two daughters, Rebecca Gunter Blackwell and Constance Hope Gunter.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, April 25, 2006 at 2:00 P.M. from Robinson Funeral Home by the Rev. Jennings B. Duncan, III. Burial will follow in Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7-8:30 P.M. Monday and other times at the home of Ronnie and Kim Scruggs, State Route #24, Buckingham Co.
