Paul Randall Mullins, 61, of Promise Land Road, died Thursday, April 19, 2018, in Lynchburg General Hospital. He was the husband of Cheryl Franklin Mullins.

Born in Lynchburg, Va., on February 20, 1957, he was a son of the late Lucille Anna Cyrus and Emery Walker Mullins. He was a member of Central Baptist Church and a heavy equipment operator for VDOT for 25 years. He was a former member of the Antique Tractor Pulling Club and the Lynchburg Harley Davidson Club. Paul loved hunting, tractor pulls, feeding the fish at Smith Mountain Lake, and spending time with family.

In addition to his wife he is survived by a son, Jonathan Mullins of Madison Heights; a daughter, Shawna Ranson and husband, Brian of Appomattox; five grandchildren, Sommer, Brooklynn, Kelsie, Brian Jr. "Bo", and Blayne; three brothers, Arthur E. Mullins of Appomattox, Robert L. Mullins and wife, Ruth Ann of Red House, and Raymond W. Mullins and wife, Bobbie; a sister, Virginia M. Mitchell and husband, Don all of Appomattox; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Rachel Mullins.

The family wishes to thank his dear friends, Paul Martin, Kevin Harris and Pam Kidd for their love and friendship.

A funeral service will be held 2 p.m., Sunday, April 22, 2018, at Central Baptist Church by Pastor Jeff Worley, Pastor David Chavis, and Pastor Frank Casper with burial will following in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Saturday, April 21 at Robinson funeral Home and other times at the home of his daughter, 6098 Promise Land Road, Appomattox.
