Paul David Hunter, 92, of Appomattox, died Wednesday, December 20, 2023.  He was the husband of Edith Tyson Hunter.

Born in Union County, NC, January 18, 1931, he was a son of the late Lillian Gordon and Julius Hunter.  Paul served his country in the United States Air Force.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Chris Hunter and wife, Lynn of Monroe, NC; granddaughter, Evann Wheeler of Wingate, NC; and four great-grandchildren, Hailey Wheeler, Christian Huntley, Nahla Huntley and Madison Huntley.

He was preceded in death by his siblings, Johnnie Hunter, Clyde Hunter, Horace Hunter, Helen Walser, Hazel Walsh and Lee McCorkle.

A graveside service will be held 11 a.m., Thursday, December 28, 2023, in Lakeland Memorial Park, Monroe, NC.

The family will receive friends from 4 until 6 p.m., Tuesday, December 26, 2023, at Robinson Funeral Home.
