Obituary

Oscar Rogers Hudson, 62, of Appomattox and formerly of Rustburg, died Tuesday, February 1, 2011, at home.

Born in Halifax County, on March 16, 1948, he was a son of the late Fletcher Green Hudson and Etta Logan Conner Hudson. Oscar was employed by Progress Printing.

He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, April Lynn and Lee Scruggs of Appomattox; four grandchildren, Corey, Caylie, Casey, and Conner Scruggs; three sisters, Minnie Grove of Bernon Hill, Louise Waskey of South Boston, and Etta Snead of Halifax; four brothers and sisters-in-law, Herbert and Naomi Hudson of Scottsburg, Ernest Hudson of Fredericksburg, Frank and Nancy Hudson of Scottsburg, and George and Judy Hudson of Rustburg; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a son, Troy Glenn Hudson and a brother, Fletcher Wayne Hudson.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m., Friday, February 4, 2011, in Robinson Funeral Home by Dr. Chris King. The family will receive friends at the funeral home today, Thursday, Feb. 3, from 7-8:30 p.m.
