Oma Faye Wright Chambers, 91, of Appomattox died Monday, October 29, 2012 in Appomattox Health and Rehab Center. She was the wife of the late Jesse Don Chambers.
Born in Low Gap, West Virginia on December 3, 1920, she was a daughter of the late Hugh Caperton and Mary Susan Bias Wright. Oma was a member of Bible Baptist Church.
Mrs. Chambers is survived by a daughter and son-in-law Barbara and Charles Mullins of Appomattox; two granddaughters, Tammy and husband, Tim Davis of Appomattox, and Vicki Callaway of Advance, North Carolina; three great- grandchildren, Chad Davis and wife, Jamie; Dena Olsen and husband Tim, and Tyler Callaway; 3 great- great-grandchildren Karlee, Kyle & Ryan Davis.
She was preceded in death by a sister and five brothers.
Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Thursday, November 1, 2012 in Bible Baptist Church by the Rev. Jonathan Watson and the Rev. Robert E. Lee, with burial to follow in Liberty Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Thursday at Bible Baptist Church one hour before the service beginning at 2:00 P.M. and other times at the home of Charles & Barbara Mullins.
