Obituary

Appomattox: Obediah Ferguson, 68, of 2368 Watt Abbitt Rd., entered into eternal rest on February 14, 2007 in Virginia Baptist Hospital.
Born in Buckingham County, September 23, 1938, he was a son of the late Joe Agee Ferguson and Ruby McCoy Ferguson. Obediah was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church and a self-employed truck driver.
He is survived by his special devoted partner, Virginia Beal; two sons, Donald Ferguson and Joe Ferguson (Katha); two daughters, Marlene F. Kelso and Ruby F. Kelso (Neal);a son-in-law, Donald Green all of Appomattox; three brothers, John C. Ferguson of Lynchburg, Cornelius Ferguson of Gladstone and Sears Ferguson of Appomattox; five sisters, Virginia Megginson of Gladstone, Arlene Cooper of Cleveland, OH, Maxine Thompson of Yonkers, NY, Irona Beard of Cleveland, OH, and Jean Ware of Amherst, eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Serena (Necie) Green and a son, Tyrone Ferguson.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm, Sunday, February 18, 2007 at Robinson Funeral Home by Rev. Ricky Ferguson. Burial will follow in Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 7-8:30.
