Gloria Juanita (Nita) Mann, 59, of Narrow Passage Rd., Appomattox, died Monday, September 16, 2013 in Lynchburg General Hospital. She was the loving wife of Jackie Allen Mann.
Born in Lynchburg, VA, on November 14, 1953, she was a daughter of the late Wilson Ryland (Willie) and Eula Ayers Ferguson. She was a member of Gethsemane Baptist Church and the Appomattox Moose Lodge where she was employed.
In addition to her husband she is survived by three sons, Otha (Jimbell) Harris and wife Kathy, Roger Harris and wife Tammy, and James Mann and wife Tutt all of Appomattox; a daughter, Cindy Huber and husband David of Amherst; a brother, Clyde E. (Tom Dooley) Ferguson and wife Pam of Appomattox; three sisters, Verna Wood of Appomattox, Rena Litchford of Gladstone, and Marie Hensley and husband Thomas of Pamplin; a sister-in-law, Shirley Baldwin and husband Bradley of Pamplin; 14 grandchildren, one great-grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews, and her best friend who she thought of as a sister, Sue Doss, of Stonewall.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Sarah Woody and Joyce McCormick and a brother, Frank Wilson Ferguson.
The family will receive friends at Robinson Funeral Home Thursday, Sept. 19, 2013 from 7-8:30 p.m. and other times at the home of Jackie and Nita Mann, and the home of her brother, Tom Dooley Ferguson.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m., Friday, Sept. 20, 2013, at Robinson Funeral Home by the Rev. Carlton Duck. Burial will follow in Glory Baptist Church Cemetery.
