Obituary

Nicholas Patrick Dillon, 38, of Richmond, died Wednesday, April 20, 2016, in VCU Hospital. Nick will be remembered as a loving son, brother, and doting uncle.

Nick was born in Farmville, Va., on March 17, 1978; he was the son of the late John Emory Dillon and Marie Carter Morgan Milton of Appomattox. He was the owner of Artesian Analytics in Richmond, a 2000 graduate of Virginia Tech, and a member of Memorial United Methodist Church. Nick loved family, work, motor biking, and the outdoors. He pursued his passions and always chose to live each day to the fullest, and he would encourage all of us to do the same.

He is survived by his mother and step-father, Marie and Ken Milton; a brother and sister-in-law, Chris and Angie Dillon; three nephews, Adam, Zach, and Nate Dillon, all of Appomattox; paternal grandparents, William and Edna Dickerson of Pamplin; an uncle, Mark Dillon and wife, Debbie; two aunts, Anne Johnson and Barbara Elliott and husband, Ted; and a large motor biking family.

In addition to his father, John, he was preceded in death by his step-father, Jesse Morgan and his maternal grandparents, Winston and Flossie Carter.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, April 23, 2016, at Memorial United Methodist Church by the Rev. Russell Cheatham. The burial will follow at 2:30 p.m., at Sandy Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, 25450 E. Saylers Creek Rd., Jetersville.

The family will receive friends at Robinson Funeral Home on Friday, April 22, 2016, from 7-8:30 p.m. and other times at the home of his mother.

Nick gave to many charities that were close to his heart. In lieu of flowers the family asks that you do the same and give to a charity important to you in his honor.
