Neville Pinnell Moore, 87, of Oakville Road, died Monday, July 31, 2017 at Lynchburg General Hospital. He was the loving husband of Mary Frances Harris Moore and they shared their life together for 59 years.
Born in Appomattox County, September 24, 1929, he was a son of the late Mable Crews and Herbert Harding Moore. Neville was a member of Red Oak Baptist Church. Neb served his country in the United States Army. He retired from Lynchburg Foundry after 39 years of service. Neb enjoyed his retirement to the fullest. His passion was for his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His love was for the farm life and his devoted four legged companions.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Fleming Pinnell Moore and very special friend, Catherine Watson Weber and William Kevin Moore and wife, Michelle all of Appomattox; one brother, Wallace Donald Moore and wife, Shirley of Appomattox; two sisters, Ruth Moore Thompson of Parma Heights, OH and Ann Moore Reynolds and husband, Ralph of Appomattox; three grandchildren, Chad Devin Moore, Jordan Moore Sparnroft and husband, Dave, Taylor Moore Shupe and husband, Sky; two great-granddaughters, Kymber Carrington Moore and Mattie Belle Shupe.
He was preceded in death by his most beloved daughter-in-law, Martha Garrett Moore; three brothers, H.H. Moore, Jr., Alonza Moore and Everette Moore; one sister, Marie M. Dunnam.
A funeral service will be held 3 p.m., Thursday, August 3, 2017 at Red Oak Baptist Church with Rev. Randolph Martin and Rev. John Muth officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with military rites accorded by American Legion Post #104 and VFW #9855 combined honor guard.
The family will receive friends at the residence.
