NATHAN WAYNE GARRETT
Nathan Wayne Garrett, 61, of Oakville Road, Appomattox, died Tuesday January 31, 2012 at Lynchburg General Hospital. He was the husband of Patricia (Pat) Garrett.
Wayne was born in Lynchburg on September 22, 1950 a son of Nelda Lucado and Frank Nathan Garrett of Appomattox. He was a member of Red Oak Baptist Church, Retired from Flowserve formerly Limitorque after 30 years' service and had served in the National Guard.
In addition to his wife and parents, Wayne is survived by his son, Jason S. Garrett of Appomattox, two grandchildren, DeAnna Lynn and Hayley Elane Garrett; three sisters, Iris and her husband Roy Woody, Helen and her husband, Terry (J.T.) Adams; Peggy and her husband, Stanley Sivertson of Chesapeake; and his beloved dogs, Daisy Mae & Henry.
A Graveside funeral service will be held at Red Oak Baptist Church Cemetery on Friday February 3, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. officiated by the Rev. Tom Barker.
The family will receive friends at Robinson Funeral Home from 7-8:30 P.M. tonight (Thursday) and at other times at the residence.
