Nannie Bryant Worley, 81 of Gladstone, went to be with her Lord, Saturday, August 29, 2009 at the Medical Care Center of Lynchburg. She was the wife of the late Franklin Linwood Worley.
Born in Amherst Co., January 25, 1928, she was a daughter of the late Ollie Newton Bryant and Maude Christian Bryant. Nannie was a charter member of Glory Baptist Church and a homemaker.
She is survived by a son, Rev. Jeff (Jay) Worley and wife, Renita of Concord; two daughters, Mary W. Casey and husband, William G. of Amherst, Patricia W. Paisley and husband, Jimmy of Gladstone; one brother, Gordon Bryant and wife, Virginia of Lynchburg; one sister Hazel Bryant of Fredericksburg; three grandsons, E.W. Martin, Jr., of Amherst, Andy Paisley and wife, Shea of Virginia Beach, Bobby Paisley and wife, Jennifer of Amherst; four great-grandchildren, Drew Paisley, Turner Paisley both of Virginia Beach, Nicolette Paisley and Christian Paisley both of Amherst.
She was preceded in death by a daughter Carroll Worley.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 2, 2009 at Glory Baptist Church by the Rev. Gary Moore and the Rev. Greg Taylor. Burial will follow in Amherst Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 7-8:30 p.m. Tuesday, September 1, 2009 at Glory Baptist Church and other times at the residence of Patricia and Jimmy Paisley 2919 Allens Creek Rd.
