Nancy Ann Walker Queen, 47, of Sugar Hill Rd., went to be with the Lord, Sunday, October 3, 2010, in Lynchburg General Hospital. She was the wife of William Ole Queen.
Born on April 10, 1963 in Halifax Co., she was a daughter of James Woodrow and Nancy Ida Wilborn Walker of Brookneal. She was a member of Union Hill Baptist Church and a homemaker.
In addition to her husband and parents, she is survived by two daughters, Holly Dawn Winston Tharpe of Brookneal and Kay-Dee Lynn Winston Hirtz and her husband David, Concord; two grandsons, Gabriel Vincent Tharpe and Logan-James Walker Mitchell; four brothers, James Walker and his wife Elaine, Glascow, Donald Walker and his wife Lisa, Brian Walker and his wife Brandy and Larry Walker all of Brookneal; three sisters, Angie Lawson and her husband Dwain, Concord , Wanda Walker, Madison Heights, and Anita Williams and her husband Hugh E., Brookneal; along with numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 am, Thursday, October 7, 2010, in Union Hill Baptist Church by the Rev. Alden Hicks with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Robinson Funeral Home from 7:00 to 8:30 pm Wednesday and other times at her residence.
