Nancy Davis Slagle, 63, of Paulette Lane, Appomattox, died Wednesday, February 16, 2011, at Lynchburg General Hospital. Born in Buckingham, County, on October 11, 1947, she was a daughter of the late Martha Kitchen and Percy Garland Davis, Jr. She was a long time employee of the CVS Drug Store in Appomattox.

Nancy is survived by her son, Kevin Slagle of Orange, Texas; four grandchildren, Sierra Slagle of Petersburg, VA, Austin, Tyler, and Colton Slagle all of Orange, TX; a sister, Martha D. Horne and her husband Tom, of Saluda, VA; two special friends, Sarah Robertson and Peggy Kidd. She was preceded in death by a brother, Percy Garland Davis, III.

Graveside funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m., Monday February 21, 2011 in Dillwyn Town Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Appomattox Volunteer Rescue Squad, P.O.
