Nancy Elizabeth Doss Hall, 73, of Appomattox, died on August 24, 2011 at her residence. She was the wife of Earl R. "Rand" Hall for fifty years. She was born in Appomattox County on September 26, 1937, a daughter of the late Thomas Andrew Doss and Aileen Ferguson Doss.

In addition to her husband, Nancy is survived by one son, Andrew E. Hall of Appomattox; one brother, Kenneth Doss and wife, Ida of Appomattox; two sisters, Joyce D. Patterson and husband, Duiguid of Franklin County and Carleen D. Covington of Appomattox; numerous nieces and nephews; and three special friends, Debbie Hodge, Sabrina Seay and Barbara Mann.

Nancy was retired from Appomattox Garment Company and was a member of Liberty Baptist Church.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 27, 2011 at Robinson Funeral Home with the Rev. Jim Price and the Rev. Rick Caldwell officiating. Burial will follow in Liberty Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00-8:30 p.m. on Friday, August 26, 2011 at both the residence and Robinson Funeral Home.
