Obituary

Louise Taylor Thompson, 74, of Prospect, died Monday March 10, 2014 at her residence.

Born in Appomattox, VA, on July 5, 1939 she was a daughter of the late Carrie Baldwin and James Ryland Taylor.   She worked as a Seamstress for Courtland Manufacturing and later managed the Shell Station for numerous years. Louise was a member of Rocks Baptist Church.

She is survived by two sons, Johnny Edward Thompson Sr., of Appomattox and David Bradley Thompson Sr., and wife Tracey of Upper Sandusky, OH; two daughters, Linda T. Goode and husband Henry of Appomattox and Wanda L. Billock and her husband Todd of Carey, OH; two sisters, Helen Ragland of Appomattox and Ellen Ragland of Danville; eleven grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert Ryland Taylor and George Edward Taylor; a sister Betty Taylor Seay; and a great-granddaughter Imani Mitchell.

A Memorial Service will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 15, 2014 at Robinson Funeral Home by the Rev. Jeff Worley. The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home one hour before the service and other times at the residence of Henry and Linda Goode.
