Obituary

Myrtle Hodnett Jennings, 77, of Prospect, died Monday, February 03, 2014, in Heritage Hall of Blackstone. She was the wife of the late James Cawthorne Jennings.

Born in Nottoway County, on July 4, 1936, she was a daughter of the late Lillie Hodnett Brandau and George Moore. She was a homemaker and member of Hollywood Baptist Church
She is survived by two children, Brian Dale Jennings and wife, Danette, of Prospect and Carol Ann Casey and husband, Thomas of Appomattox; eight grandchildren, Keith & Rachel Jennings, Kevin & Megan Jennings, Jessica Mayberry, Ashley Leonard, Brittany Mayberry, Kimberly Mayberry, Tommy Casey and Brandon Casey; seven great grandchildren, Brandon Jennings, Alexis Taylor, Payton Howes, John Leonard III, Madysen Leonard, Jayceon Robinson, and Caelan Casey, two half -sisters, Jeanette Woodlief and Wanda Hamlett.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, William Hodnett, great-granddaughter, Hannah Taylor and a half- brother, Wesley Brandau.
The family wishes to express their appreciation to Heritage Hall in Blackstone for their loving care of Myrtle.

Graveside funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Thursday February 6, 2014 in Hollywood Baptist Church Cemetery officiated by the Rev. Robert Phillips.
