Appomattox: Myrna Guill Nash, 82, of Promise Land Rd., died November 9, 2007, in Appomattox Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was the loving wife of the late Richard Twyman Nash.
Born in Appomattox County, June 14, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Willie Herman and Myrtle McCormick Guill. Myrna was a member of Central Baptist Church, County Line Homemaker's Club, the Young At Hearts Club, a Sunday School teacher, and Sunbeam Leader.
She is survived by two sons; Winfred D. Nash and his wife, Pat, Twyman D. Nash and his wife, Kathryn, all of Appomattox; two daughters, Brenda N. Layne and her husband, Ray of Forest, Yvonne N. Carson and her husband, David of Pamplin; three sisters, Carrie Guill Gobble of Lynchburg, Rachel Guill Waddell of Lynchburg, and Ruth Guill Smith and her husband, Fred of Appomattox; six grandchildren, Melissa Beane and her husband, Jeff, Wendy Nash Vlissides and her husband, Nick, Susan Carson Hamlette and her husband, Bryan, Todd Nash and his wife, Crystal, Ryan Carson and his Fiancé, Maggie Prout, and Will Nash and his wife, Mary Beth; one great-granddaughter, Grace Elizabeth Nash; and one step great-grandson, Chris Beane.
She was preceded in death by three sisters, Gertie Jamerson, Elsie Thomas, and Faye (Polly) Seay; four brothers, Elmo Guill, Warren Guill, Randolph Guill, and Robert Allen Guill.
A Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m., Monday, November 12, 2007 at Robinson Funeral Home by the Rev. George Kreidel and the Rev. George Brooks, with burial to follow in Central Baptist.
The family will receive friends at Robinson Funeral Home today from 7-8:30 p.m.
