MOLLIE G. CORDELL

Appomattox – Mollie Mae Guinn Cordell, 80, of 3164 Trent Hatchery Road, went to be with her Lord, Thursday February 1, 2007.
Mollie was born in Elk Park, NC on April 13, 1926 a daughter of the late Warren E. and Zillie Mae Williams Guinn. She was retired from Thomasville Furniture and a member of Evergreen Baptist Church.
Mollie was known as an individual with a great sense of humor, upbeat attitude and was a blessing to her family and to others. She was ready for her Lord to take her home where she can now tend her flower garden in Heaven with the Angels.
She is survived by her children, sons, Marshall Cordell and his wife Helen; Harold (Toby) Cordell and his wife, Jeanette all of Appomattox; daughter, Vicki C. Conder and her husband, Chuck of Belview, FL; two sisters, Rita Clark of Newland, NC and Bonell Collins and her husband, Joe of Gillette, WY; three brothers, Gary Guinn and his wife, Virgie of Elk Park, NC; Warren Guinn and his wife Jo of Greeneville, SC; and J.C. Guinn and his wife, Charlotte of Roan Mountain, TN; 15 Grandchildren, 23 Great-grandchildren, 3 step grandchildren and a daughter-in-law, Robin Cordell.
She was preceded in death by a son, Donnie Cordell, husband, Charles Henry Cordell, brothers, Fred and L.C. Guinn; sisters, Lillian "Bill" Hicks, Sybil, Jean, and Vada Guinn and Myrtle Martin.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Sunday at Robinson Funeral Home by Dr. Chris King. Burial will follow in Liberty Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral Home from 7-8:30 P.M. tonight (Sat.) and at other times at the residence.
