Millie Harris Sieglitz

Appomattox: Millie Harris Sieglitz (Minnie), 70, of Appomattox, died Saturday April 28, 2007, at Guggenheimer Nursing Home in Lynchburg. She was the wife of Heinz Sieglitz of Appomattox.
Born in Amherst County, June 4, 1936, she was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Tandy Douglas Harris. Millie was a member of Mount Comfort United Methodist Church, and proudly served our country in the U. S. Marine Corps for Seven years.
Millie was preceded in death by two brothers, William Walker Harris (Brown), and Norman Burge Harris (Cracker), and one sister, Ruby H. Barnes, and three nephews, Clyde Barnes, Gerald Harris, and Bryce Lewis.
She leaves to cherish her memories seven brothers and their wives, Lewis and Marilyn, Tandy and Elna, Keith and Nancy, John (Pete) and Brenda, Clyde and Mary, Macarthur, Ernest and Lucy; four sisters and their husbands, Anna Ferguson, Juanita Milstead and Ashby, Nellie Martin, Elizabeth Hackett and Bruce; one sister-in-law, Minnie Story Harris; 34 nieces and nephews; 53 great nieces and nephews; and 16 great-great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 3:00 P.M. Tuesday, May 1, 2007, at Robinson Funeral Home with the Rev. James R. Hughes, Jr., officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Comfort United Methodist Church Cemetery with full military rites accorded by American Legion Post #104.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
