Mildred Redd Moore, of Lee Street, Appomattox, died Saturday, March 21, 2015 in Lynchburg General Hospital. She was the wife of Fred Hundley Moore.
Born in Halifax County, on June 26, 1942, she was a daughter of the late Nannie Conner and Elvin Curtis Seamster. She was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church and worked for Courtland Manufacturing and Appomattox Bed Rails.
In addition to her husband she is survived by two sisters, Virginia Leadbetter and JoAnne Dawson and husband, Cecil both of Halifax; a brother, Elijah Seamster of Nathalie; five nephews; two brothers-in-law, James Moore and wife, Izetta and R. D. (Bob) Moore; and three sisters-in-law, Betty Ramsey, Fay Bartley and husband, Bud, and Virginia Moore.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Curtis Seamster, Henry Seamster, and Frank Seamster and a brother-in-law, Kenneth Moore.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m., Tuesday, March 24, 2015, at Centenary United Methodist Church by the Rev. Herndon Jeffreys with burial following in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church at 1 p.m. until the time of service.
