Mildred Chappell Pollard, 75, of Pamplin, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 13, 2024, at Lynchburg General Hospital. She was the wife of the late Leroy "Mutt" Pollard, Sr.

Born in Charlotte County, VA, on February 18, 1948, she was a daughter of the late Milton Fredrick Chappell and Mary Elizabeth Clay Chappell. She was a member of Prospect Gospel Tabernacle and was a retired driver for Central Virginia Area Agencies on Aging. Mildred was a loving wife, mother, sister, and nanny.

She is survived by two children, Lee Roy Pollard, Jr. and Ashley of Prospect and Sandra Lee Brockwell of Appomattox; four grandchildren, Milton Pollard, Mary McFadden, Wendy Seabolt, and Nova-Lee Pollard; four great-grandchildren, Dakota Lee McFadden, Devon Michael Seabolt, Hailey Michelle McFadden, and Aubree Michelle Seabolt; a sister, Doris S. Williams; and a brother, Archie F. Chappell.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Angela Sue Pollard Campbell.

A graveside funeral service will be held at 3 p.m., Saturday, February 17, 2024, at Prospect Gospel Tabernacle officiated by Pastor Gary Stoots.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., on Friday, February 16, 2024, at Robinson Funeral Home.
