Obituary

Mildred Lorraine Spicer Ellis, 84, of Tony Drive, died Friday, April 11, 2008. She was the loving wife of William Clyde Ellis, Sr. for 67 years.
Born in Bristol, November 26, 1923, she was a daughter of the late Albert Ray Spicer and Emma Edith Geagley Spicer.
Mildred was a member of Bethlehem United Methodist Church where she was a member of the United Methodist Women, and also taught Sunday school at various churches, she retired from Lynchburg City School system as a teacher's aide.
In addition to her husband she is survived by a son William Clyde (Chuck) Ellis, Jr. of Lynchburg; three daughters, Priscilla Dawn Ellis Parsons and husband Thomas James Parsons, Jr., of Concord, Sandra Ellis Deal and husband, Carl Deal of Maiden, N.C., Jane Ellis Cochran and husband T.C.Cochran of Lynchburg; one brother, Darrelll Spicer of Roanoke; two sisters, Emma Spicer Bechtel of Florida, and Irma Spicer Poff of South Carolina; eleven grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, and eight great-great- grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert Ray and Emma Edith Geagley, a daughter Rita Susan Ellis; two brothers, Leonard Lee Spicer, and Kenneth M. Spicer, one grandson James Albert Parsons, and a great-grandchild Cheyanne Davis.
Graveside services will be held 2 p.m., Monday, April 14, 2008 in Liberty Cemetery by the Rev. Tim Earnhardt.
The family will receive friends at Robinson Funeral Home from 12:45-1:45 p.m. prior to the service.
Robinson Funeral Home and Cremation Service is assisting the family.
