Michael Wayne Scruggs, 69, of Pamplin, passed away Thursday, October 20, 2022.

Born in Farmville, August 31, 1953, he was a son of the late Margaret Idell Brown and Curtis William Scruggs.  Wayne was a member of Walkers Presbyterian Church.  He retired from Asplundh Tree Service after 21 years of service.  Wayne enjoyed hunting, gardening and watching old westerns.

He is survived by three sisters, Linda F. Scruggs, Debra J. Story and Nancy S. Adams and husband, Jimmy; two brothers, William Douglas Scruggs and wife, Karen and Gregory A. Scruggs; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by one brother, John Thomas Scruggs.

A graveside service will be held 2 p.m., Sunday, October 23, 2022, at Walkers Presbyterian Church Cemetery with Rev. Robert Burnette officiating.
