Michael George Rosenow, Sr.
Michael George Rosenow, Sr., 61, of Gala Lake Rd., Spout Spring, died Sunday, September 14, 2008, in Lynchburg General Hospital. He was the husband of Genie Lynn Hall Rosenow.
Born in Kewanee, Illinois, April 13, 1947, he was the youngest of six sons born to the late Dale E. Rosenow, Sr. and Hazel Moon Rosenow. Michael retired from the US Navy as an Engineman Diesel Mechanic and served in Vietnam. After his retirement he worked as a locksmith for Randolph-Macon Woman's College.
In addition to his wife he is survived by three daughters, Mary (William) Watson of Appomattox, Jennifer (Donald) Kingston of Chesapeake and Jammie Ferguson of Appomattox; and ten grandchildren, Bill, Mandy, Dustin, Anakin, Selena, Curtis, Michael, Christopher, Dylan, and Wilson.
Funeral services will be held 4:00 pm, Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2008 in Reedy Spring Baptist Church by the Rev. John Muth with burial following in the church cemetery with military rites accorded by American Legion Post 104 and V.F.W. Post 8955 combined Honor Guard.
The family will receive friends at Robinson Funeral Home Tuesday from 7-8:30 pm and other times at the residence.
