Obituary
Mike Lyons, 66, of Stonewall Road, died Friday, June 16, 2017. He is the loving husband of Vada Jean Lyons.
Born in Fries, VA, on January 15, 1951, he was the son of the late Charlotte Clara Dowling and Roy Patterson Lyons. Michael was a member of Thomas Terrace Baptist Church. He served his country in the United States Navy for 20 years and retired as Chief Fire Control Technician.
He is also survived by two sons, Michael Patterson Lyons, II, of Fries, and Brad Lee Lyons and wife, Erica of Appomattox; one daughter, Rebekah Jean Mosley and husband, Sam of Bedford; one brother, Roger Lee Lyons and wife, Helen of Fries; one sister, Carol Ann Crockett and husband, Ronnie of Petersburg; and seven grandchildren, Kaitlin McDaniel, Nicholas McDaniel, Justin Price, Wyatt Lyons, Samuel Mosley, Leah Mosley and Naomi Mosley.
A memorial service will be held 3 p.m., Sunday, June 25, 2017 at Thomas Terrace Baptist Church, 10660 Richmond Hwy., Lynchburg, with Pastor Mark Grooms and Pastor Frank Casper officiating.
